Our rating for this product is 4/5, it will give you everything that you need, and we do not think that you will need anything more than the Wyze Cam. The only reason that we have given this 4/5 and not a complete 5 out of 5 is because you will be able to find newer versions that we have reviewed on the site. The newer versions will give you more features and they also address some of the security concerns that you may have with a previous version.
That does not mean that the Wyze Cam is a bad buy, we recommend it if you are shopping on a budget and you want something that will get you set up quickly and easily. However, if you are looking for something that will give you the latest features then you should check out the version 2 or the version 3.
Apart from that, when you look at this camera on its own it gives you everything that you need, and we think you’ll be very impressed with the quality of this camera.

Motion/Sound Recording with Free Cloud Storage – Wyze Cam Pan can automatically record a 12-second video clip when motion or sound is detected and saves that video to the cloud for 14-days, for free. You will be able to live stream from anywhere and that will give you a brilliant 1080p picture so you will get full HD live streaming, this is a great feature especially when you consider that this is version 1 of the product and you can also buy a few of these to set them up and have every single room that you need covered.
The other benefit of the live streaming is that you can access it really easily because you can just get access to everything free your phone.
You will also get motion and sound recording and you even get free Cloud storage with this product. It will automatically record 12 second video clip with motional sound and it will save the cloud for 14 days for free.
If you wish more than this, you will need to pay for a subscription, but it still gives you a chance to sample exactly what it can do without committing to anything. You also get Mobile push notifications, and you can turn these on a rough, but it will let you know when something is detected so you can stay on top of things without having to monitor the app constantly.
If you really don’t want to have to pay for a monthly subscription fee, then you can also buy a microSD card which is sold separately but you will be able to see the option when you go through to Amazon.com and it is something to bear in mind.
The nightvision will also let you see up to 30 feet in absolute darkness and that will use 6 infrared IR LEDs, bear in mind that the infrared will not work through glass windows.

Who Is This For?
We would recommend the Wyze Cam to anyone that is looking for a really good camera and you are working with a budget. If you are aiming to get a smart camera for as cheap as possible but you also want to get one that is a branded name with a really good warranty and good customer support, then you have found it.
The only downside that we can see with this product is that there are new ones out there that will give you far better quality in terms of features, and they have also been updated somewhat in terms of security. However that does not mean that the Wyze Cam is insecure it just means that it is a previous version so we highly recommend checking them out and we think that you will be very pleased with what you find here.
