The video quality is 1080p and it also features a two-way talking system, advanced motion detection and you are also able to customise the privacy settings. Bear in mind that the main things that you need to be able to understand when setting this up will be the installation, you will also need a Wi-Fi network that has a compatible 2.4 GHz channel.

This is fairly standard, and you will find the most Wi-Fi connections will give you a 5 GHz channel and a 2.4 GHz channel. The 2.4 GHz channel is fairly standard, and you should find it with most networks.

Just make sure that you have a strong enough Wi-Fi connection to be able to connect.

You can also set this to give you real-time notifications that sent straight to your phone, if you want to you can also set it up to work with an Alexa device and as you are getting Ring chime, you will be able to set this up so you will always know when someone is stopping by.

You will also get advanced motion detection that lets you know when someone’s at your front door even before they ring on your doorbell, you can of course customise all of these features, so they are not too intruding into your day-to-day life.

The nightvision will also give you a very sharp contrast that means you will be able to see all of the details that you need even when it is pitch black.

The great thing about the Ring Video Doorbell Wired and Ring Chime is the fact that when you go to set this up you will be able to use your existing doorbell wiring and the included toolkit for around-the-clock power and peace of mind. Although this might be more of a painter setup then a battery-operated doorbell, it will give you more peace of mind and you know that you are getting all of the power that you need.

Another feature that you can add into this is the ring protection plan, this means that you will also be able to record all of your videos, you will be able to review what you have missed for up to 60 days and you can even share your videos and photos. The downside with this particular plan is that it does contain a subscription fee although it is quite reasonable.

You can also hook this up to Alexa to hear alerts on your compatible Echo devices, you will be able to see a live view with an Echo device on the screen and you can talk to visitors.

We highly recommend having an Echo device such as Alexa when you are using the Ring Video Doorbell Wired and Ring Chime to be able to take advantage of all the features.

Standout features for the Ring Video Doorbell Wired and Ring Chime:

1080p HD quality:

The standout feature for the Ring Video Doorbell Wired and Ring Chime is the fact that you will get very good quality video at 1080p. This means that you will always be able to see what is going on and you will get a great quality picture. We do also recommend, if you are going to buy this system to go for the ring protect plan, it is relatively inexpensive and it will also allow you to save all of your videos in high quality.

Non-stop power:

We have put the fact that it is a wired doorbell as a standout feature. Although this is actually more of a painter setup initially it means that you will get non-stop power with a hardwired video doorbell, this means that it is far more reliable, and you will be able to use this quickly and easily to see everything that you need to.

Real-time mobile notifications:

You are able to fully customise the real-time mobile notifications on your phone or tablet when someone is at your front door. You can turn them off entirely, or you can have ultimate control and be able to see even before someone gets to the front door.

Advanced motion detection:

This will give you very advanced motion detection, as mentioned above it will normally notify you even when someone is coming up to the door and they do not need to be that close to be able to set the sensors off.

However, you are also able to customise the sensitivity and the area that camera keeps an eye on, so you do not have to have this going off when you do not need it to.

Night Vision:

The night vision feature is very good as we had a look at with the ratings above. If you want something that you will be able to easily see what is going on, we don’t envision that you have any problems with the night vision feature.

Even if it is pitch black you will be able to see exactly what is going on.

Works with Alexa:

We highly recommend using this with an Echo device or Alexa, the reason is that you will get additional features and you can use all of the features from the doorbell with Alexa. If you are currently using Alexa, you will find it very easy to start telling Alexa to keep an eye on the front door and then you can load up your video feed any time you wish.

Versatile:

You can set up the Ring Video Doorbell Wired and Ring Chime to notify you in real-time with visitors pressing doorbell or they trigger the built-in motion sensors. You can also adjust the motion settings to filter out motion on a busy street or at a neighbour’s house and receive only the alerts you care about; this will take a little bit of training but once you have got it all set up and running it will increase the security of your home.

Ring App:

Everything that you need to control the Ring Video Doorbell Wired and Ring Chime is all controlled through the app. You will be able to receive real-time notifications on your phone and tablet, also get real-time video and audio with the live view button that allows you to view the video feed in real-time.

You will also be able to customise and control important security settings, you can even save and share videos as well as photos as long as you have the optional ring protect plan. All of this is housed under one simple app so you should not have any issues with using this.

Easy set up:

All you need to do to be able to set this up is disconnect the power at the breaker, then it comes with provided jumper cable to connect both terminals to your existing doorbell is chime. Bear in mind that this doorbell will not sound your existing chime.

The next step is to disconnect your existing doorbell button, then you will connect the doorbell wiring to the back of the video doorbell.

The final step is to secure your doorbell to your home, attach the faceplate in turn the power on at the breaker. The next step is just to download the app and then you can simply connect to the doorbell which is very easy and simple to do.

We recommend if you are put off by the setup and you are still looking at buying the Ring Video Doorbell Wired and Ring Chime to get a bit of help with installation. This is a very quick and easy job.

Verdict:

If you are looking for something that will give you the ultimate control over your home and the ability to customise will doorbell to make it into a security camera that will meet your needs, then you definitely need to check out the Ring Video Doorbell Wired and Ring Chime.

This has a fantastic review score throughout, and the only downside is that we can see is that the installation may put off some people if you have never done this. That said, it is very easy to do and is a quick 5-minute job or the right person.

Check this out at Amazon.com and we think you will be very impressed with what you get with the Ring Video Doorbell Wired and Ring Chime bundle.
